Named Like Poetry

DOLORES
Spanish add to namelist

Meaning: Sorrows - From Maria de los Dolores 'Mary of the Sorrows', a Spanish title for the Virgin Mary

LINDA
Spanish add to namelist

Meaning: Pretty One - Linda Ronstadt, singer. Linda Dano, TV actress. Linda McCartney, photographer.

I never really liked my name until I looked it up on babynames.com. I now realize, however, its meaning, and I really like it. Essentially, I'm a beautiful sorrow. It's kinda poetic, kinda beautiful to me for some reason. I don't really know why. What does your name mean?

Stupid Me

I'm sorry for my post yesterday. It was an emotional rant instead of fact, and for those who took offense, specifically my male friends, I am sorry. Generalizations are shitty, and I wouldn't typically consider myself as such a person. I deleted the post, and they shall be no more.

If this needs further resolve, please contact me aside from xanga.

Slight Deterrent

I was told by boss and coworkers today if I get a motorcycle then I will appear masculine and my sexual orientation will be questioned by many, possibly resulting a decrease in male advances and an increase in female. Now, though not minding a decrease in male advances, I'm not feeling the increase in female. That would be kinda gross, and by kinda, I mean a lot.

so, this motorcycle thing...

To The Point (a blog about descions)

I'm single, 22, and have been out of school for over a year and the time of which I will return is unclear. I've been having a lot of vocational thoughts, even pondering if college is right for me.

I know I'm creative and enjoy writing, painting, photography, etc (all of which i'd prefer a degree before pursuing), but there are some other desires regarding a carreer I've hidden within for a while.

My career options are as follows:

1. work my ass off to get back in school,  possibly taking a minimun of 3 years to complete my degree in art or english to become a writer, artist, photographer, or teacher.

2. enroll in a police academy to become an officer

3. join the marines

4. take enough business courses through the university to where I feel I have a decent grasp of what it should look like and attempt to branch out idependently with a children's bookstore.

5. settle for an average guy (which I could probably easily do, though not truly desired at this point), get married as soon as possible, have lots of babies, resign all vocational ambition for my life, and  live vicariously through my husband/children.

I'm not god at choosing. Any feedback/insight is helpful.

Seriously...Happy Keester?

I never thought a person would think stripping babies, painting their asses to resemble easter eggs, and photographing it would be a good and "cute" thing to do, but apparently there is someome out there who does, and I am slightly disturbed to be brought into such an awareness.
